Getting Closer!!!

I haven't been a very good blogger...Oh Well!

I will try to catch up in one long post! We are getting so close to May and I am getting so excited to meet my sweet daughter! I have read some other blogs and seen that they have written their adoption timeline down for others to see. I thought I would do that as well, so that I can help others who are adopting! Here is somewhat of a timeline of all that has gone on with the adoption since January. We received our official referral in mid-February, and the legals from Korea a week later. Typically people have already filled out a form called the I-600a before the referral, but since God was working in hyper-speed we hadn't done that yet. Our agency (Heaven Sent Children) sent that in February as well. This I-600a is a general form that says we would like to adopt from Korea. We received approval for that from USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) 3 weeks later. We then went for finger prints the second week in March. Meanwhile, Heaven Sent sent in the I-600 form stating we specifically wanted to adopt Anna Grace or in Korea, Ahram Choi. Right now, we are waiting for our final approval for that! From everything I have read, we should receive that in the next couple of weeks!! After that, the approval from USCIS is sent to US and Korea for travel visas and then we wait for the wonderful call to go get our baby girl!!! So, it looks like we are on track to go get her in May, but it could be June. We are resting in the knowledge that God is in control!!

So, if any of you read this soon. I need a vote...Anna Grace's room downstairs near our room in the front sitting room or upstairs in Matthew's room and he and Andrew share a room. I would love for her to be close to me at night, but Mike and I worry about it being too noisy in the front room. Andrew and Matthew are both okay sharing a room for now... WHAT DO YOU THINK?????

God is so good and my boys are excited about their sister. A particuarly sweet moment that I will share. The other night when I was telling my big boys goodnight, Jay asked if he could pray. Typically, Mike or I pray with them before they go to bed and we ask one of them to pray at dinner time. But, of course I said yes to Jay wanting to pray. He sweetly prayed for Anna Grace to come home soon!!! I just cannot wait to see my precious boys with their sister!

I hope I have more to share soon! Happy Spring! Oh, check out swingpal.com soon too! Launching this week!!

Jen
