Approval and a 14 Year Old

What a fabulous weekend!! I cannot say the weather was fabulous on Saturday but the contents in my mailbox made it feel as if it were sunny and eighty degrees!!! WE GOT OUR APPROVAL from USCIS!!!!!!!!! Which means we are allowed by our government to bring Anna Grace into the country to become our daughter! Korea had already given our adoption agency (AIAA) the right to find Anna Grace a family in the USA. Now, we wait for Visas and we get to go get our baby girl!!!

Oh the emotions we are feeling! Sheer excitement and thankfulness are the greatest emotions. Wow God! I stand amazed at the work our God is doing in our lives. I am still amazed at how fast this adoption process has gone for us. I am overjoyed at the thought of having a daughter to love. I cannot wait to see my boys love her and protect her. I am curious and nervous about our transition this summer. I do not think any of us can foresee how our lives will change. I am confident it will be for the better, but that doesn't mean we will not have some hard times. I am saddened at the loss Anna Grace's foster family will feel after she leaves their home. I am forever grateful for them, but I cannot imagine how it feels for a child to live with you for almost a year and them let them go. I am also saddened by the sorrow Anna Grace will feel when she leaves everything she knows.

Please pray for us. Pray for our transition from a family of 5 to a family of 6! Pray for our sweet girl that she will quickly realize we are her forever family and that she is dearly loved and safe. Pray my boys will also know how loved they are and that nothing will ever change my love for them. Please pray that Mike and I will allow God to fill us with His love so we can love our 4 children well.

Finally, my Jay is 14!!! I am in disbelief that he was born 14 years ago! Can I really be that old??? Don't answer that!!!
