Happy Three Months!!!

Gracie has been home for 3 months! In some ways it seems like time has flown and in some ways it seems Gracie has been with us forever. She fits perfectly in our family! We have had a wonderful summer bonding as a family of 6! Gracie so loves her big brothers and they love her. They love to make her squeal and laugh! They love to get her up in the morning and get her up from her nap. Matthew loves to hold her and carry her.

Gracie continues to amaze us with how quickly she learns. She loves my cell phone, remote controls and anything with buttons and somehow she can make them all work! She has learned to say several words: Momma, dada, Jay, bot bot (bottle), bite bite, mo (more), my, bye bye, dow (down), ba (bath), pa, night night, Daisy, and a 3 syllable Southern Hi! She also makes several animal sounds: moo, baa, woof woof, meow, neigh and an awesome elephant! Mike says the most important thing to say Gracie has learned to say is "roll tide"!!

Gracie continues to walk less clumsily and she is getting faster and faster! She is still very curious and loves to explore! She is beginning to learn some boundaries and will play in "her drawer" in the kitchen. She continues to love Daisy and Daisy loves all of the food Gracie is "sharing" with her. Gracie now has some stuffed animals she loves and sleeps with. She is just doing so well!!!!

We were blessed to go to the beach with my family at St. George Island and also with Mike's family at Ocean City, MD. Gracie was awesome! She slept well and ate well and was a happy, happy baby! She loved the ocean in MD and just sat on the beach and let the waves crash on her. She had sand from head to toe! It was great for both families to spend time with Gracie and get to know her better!

God is amazing and adopting Gracie has been amazing. I love how much I love her! I love that she is so happy and has adjusted so well. I love that my boys have opened their hearts to Gracie and totally feel bonded to their sister. I love seeing Mike playing with his little girl and knowing he is totally wrapped around her finger! We started the adoption process thinking about how we could make Gracie's life better, but guess what? God is totally using Gracie to bless us and make our life better. God is funny that way!!
