What a wonderful 2 1/2 weeks we have had! The first week was quite an adjustment. Mike and I had to re-enter our normal life and get used to our time zone again and little Gracie had to change her internal clock and get to know her family. We had some long, rough nights, but at the week home point, things began to fall into place. Gracie started sleeping thru the night and has done so every day since then - what a good girl!!!
Here are a few things I have learned about my girl Gracie:
1. Gracie is a mover and a shaker! Each of my boys progressively were into more stuff. Gracie is more curious than all of them!!! She is now exploring the whole house and loves to just look at everything she can get her little hands on and then throw it behind her and move on!! She loves to put everything in her mouth except a pacifier!
2. Gracie loves to dance. She loves the beat of music and either bounces up and down to the music or sways side to side.
3. Gracie absolutely loves her bath! Oh my gracious, she can splash better than the best! She LOVES her bath!
4. Gracie is an eater and she especially loves chicken, fruit, hot dogs, sunbutter and crackers, and ice cream. We went to Sweet Cece's and she inhaled the cake batter yogurt! She doesn't want any baby food and she loves to feed herself! Those eight little teeth help her alot!!
5. Gracie is a squealer! Let me tell you, the baby has some lungs! She squeals if she is happy and if she is sad. We are trying to teach her some words or signs to tame that sweet squeal!
6. Gracie loves other kids. Not only has Gracie totally bonded with her brothers, but she loves seeing other small kids. She also loves her mommy and daddy! For that, I am so thankful!
7. Gracie is a smart little girl! She is saying some words like baby, dada, mama, daisy, bye bye, Jay. I love that sweet voice!!
8. Gracie does not like bows in her hair...
9. Gracie loves to have her back patted and rubbed when falling to sleep. Thankfully she is sleeping in her crib!
10. Gracie loves books! She may not want to listen to the whole book but she loves to turn the pages.
I am so thankful for how Gracie had adapted and fit right in to our family. We all can't believe that she hasn't been with us all along! Her brothers love her and even help out a little! She is a blessing from God and we are totally in love with her!!
